International scientific conference "Culture and Power in the Imperial space of the East", dedicated to the 1800th anniversary of the creation of the Sasanian Empire
Dear colleagues,
We invite you to participate in the International scientific conference "Culture and Power in the Imperial space of the East", dedicated to the 1800th anniversary of the creation of the Sasanian Empire, which will be held online December 4, 2024.
The purpose of the conference is to expand contacts and deepen cooperation between specialists from different regions of Russia, Iran, Egypt and other countries.
The following topics are proposed for consideration:
• The culture of the Empires of the East of antiquity and the Middle Ages;
• Political structure and processes in the Empires of the East;
• The written tradition and epigraphy of the East;
• Imperial space as a contact zone;
• Empires of the East and their cultural heritage in museum collections.
Employees of educational and scientific institutions and museums are invited to participate.
The working languages of the conference are English and Russian.
